About the event

Beidh an t-imeacht saor in aisce seo ag cloígh le srianta Covid-19 ar fad. Beidh sé lonnaithe in áit fhoscúil sa choill thart faoi Theach Ard Álainn, atá díreach os comhair Óstán Enniskeen ar bhóthar Átha Bhriain ar imeall Chaisleán Nua.

Beidh cosaint ó ghaoth agus ó fhearthainn faighte ó chlúdach canbhás. Beidh na suíonna scaratha ón a chéile; beidh glantóir láimhe ar fáil agus ní bheidh níos mó ná seachtar duine fásta in ann á fhreastail. Is féidir gach duine fásta níos mó ná páiste amháin a ghlacadh leo, ach iarrfar orthu a ndícheall a dhéanamh chun cinntiú go bhfánfaidh na páistí in a 'mbolgán' féin i rith an imeacht. Ní bheidh bréagáin nó smailc ar fáil ag an imeacht seo.

Cuirfear dhá sheisiún amhránaíochta ar siúl agus mairfidh gach ceann acu 40 nóiméad uasmhéid. Tosnóidh an chéad cheann ag 10rn agus an dara ceann ag 11rn. Cuirfear tús leis na seisiún ar an Aoine, an 5ú Mí na Samhna agus leanfaidh siad ar aghaidh go dtí 17ú Nollaig ach tá súil againn go mbeidh sé ar siúl sa dea-aimsir fosta. Caithfear d'áit a chur i áirithe os rud é go mbeidh uimhreacha teoranta.

Clúdaigh sibh féin go maith; thiocfadh blaincéad, deoch te nó buidéal te a thógáil leat! Níl gá Gaeilge a labhairt chun an imeacht draíochta seo a fhreastail.

Rhyme Time for Current Times!

This free event adheres to all Covid-19 restrictions. To accommodate social distancing it will take place in a sheltered area in a wood in the grounds of Ardaluin House, which is directly opposite The Enniskeen Hotel on the Bryansford Road on the outskirts of Newcastle.

A canvas cover will provide protection from wind and rain.  Seating will be socially distanced, hand sanitizer will be provided and attendance will be limited to seven adults. Each adult may bring more than one child, though adults will be asked to do their best to ensure the children remain within their ‘bubble’ during the event. Unlike the Irish language Parent and Toddler groups in Byranford no snack or toys will be available.

There will be two rhyme time sessions presented each lasting 40 minutes maximum. The first commences at 10am and second at 11am. The sessions will start on Friday, November 5th and will run until December 17th. But we do hope to continue well into warmer weather. As places are strictly limited booking is essential.

Wrap up well; maybe even bring your blanket, hot drink, hot water bottle! No previous knowledge of Irish is required to attend what promises to be a magical event.
