Tá Francesca ag teagasc faoi láthair ag an Roinn Teangeolaíochta ag Ollscoil Uladh agus ag an Froebel Department of Primary and Early Childhood Education ag Ollscoil na hEireann, Maigh Naud. Is í an bun-stiúrthóir Francesa de Mother Tongues, eagraíocht neamhbhrabúis a chuireann ilteangachas chun chinn in Éireann.
Beidh Príomoide Bhunscoil Bheanna Boirche, Aingeal Nic an tSábhaisigh, in a Cathaoirleach fá choinne an chainte. Is cosúil go mbeidh suim ag go leor tuismitheoirí sa chaint seo, agus ag tuismitheoirí le páistí a bhfuil sainriachtanais acu ach go háirithe atá nó a bheas ag freastal ar ghaelscoil. Beidh deis ag rannpháirtithe ceisteanna a chur ar Francesca i ndhiaidh di labhairt.
Beidh an caint seo i mBéarla.
Francesca currently teaches in the Linguistics division at Ulster University and the Froebel Department of Primary and Early Childhood Education in Maynooth University. She is the founding director of Mother Tongues, a non for profit organisation that promotes multilingualism in Ireland.
This talk, which will be chaired by the Principle of the local Irish language primary school, Bunscoil Bheanna Boirche, Aingeal Nic an tSábhaisigh, is likely to be of interest to all parents and it will be particularly pertinent if your child has special educational needs and they either attend or may attend Irish language immersion education. There will an opportunity for participants to ask Francesca questions after her talk.
This talk will be in English
