Is scannán cumhachtach, mothálach é Arracht faoi eachtraí tragóideacha atá suite ag tús an ghorta mór i gConamara. Bhí Arracht roghnaithe ag IFTA mar ionadaí Éireann ag an rannóg 'Príomhscannán Idirnáisiúnta is Fearr' fá choinne na Oscar 2021.

Arracht {Monster] is a powerful, sensitive film set at the start of Ireland's 'great famine' in Connemara. Arracht was selected by IFTA to represent Ireland in the 'Best International Feature Film' category for the 2021 Oscars. Although the film was not chosen for the shortlist it is a wonderful production. It is currently showing in Newry's Omniplex. It's well worth seeing!
